For colder climates, it's important to actually invest in quality knits. Vince has one of the most soft and light weight knits out there on the market and although they're not as popular as some of the more trendy brands, they're definitely modern and timeless. This sweater is made of a blend of wool and cashmere so although it's as thin as a H&M sweater, it packs way more warmth. That's why I was able to get away with wearing a Nasty Gal cardigan in the cold.

On another note, when packing for a trip to the snow, I highly recommend these boots from Amazon. They're light, warm and waterproof. However, I did waterproof spray them (just in case) before going in the snow that was knee high. My boots kept me dry and since I was only going to wear these a few times, they were definitely worth it. Nobody likes cold wet socks.

What are your favorite sweater brands that keep you warm?

xoxo,

Maggie S.

  4. Gorgeous cold weather look! I love this Vince sweater and that cardigan looks so cozy too. I live in SoCal so we never get snow (other than the local mountains). But this look would still be perfect for our chilly days. xoxo, Christine

  8. We are lucky to have REALLY good quality wool here in Australia. Though, I don't live anywhere near the snow, so it is sort of wasted in that, I often just get too hot to wear them very much. I do love to put wool innersoles into my boots though in winter to help keep my feet warmer!

  15. Hello Maggie
I like the color of this sweater, the weight is fine to go on the snow. What you wrote on boots is true, if you don't have warm feet you can't enjoy the snow. Usually I like a collarless sweaters.

  17. You look so lovely in the knits for winter babe. When the weather is below freezing point though, I need to wear some fur since I get sooo cold easily haha. I don't handle the cold very well.

  20. I'm not really brand loyal with sweaters - plus I wear more coats than sweaters. Some of my favorite sweaters thou came from the thriftshop. Where else can you get cashmere for $5?

  22. Honestly, I don't think I've once ever purchased a sweater based on how warm it would keep me. I live in a fairly mild location so the only time I think about warmth is when I'm traveling! However, I really need to because there have been plenty of times that I've been freezing my tush off! lol! You look so gorgeous babe! I adore how you styled this!
