One thing that I love about Asia is their love for color and with no surprise, their clothing always reflect this. It's almost a color culture shock when you walk the streets of Asia. A few years ago, probably due to some TV show, I was on a hunt for that perfect red leather jacket and didn't really find any in the U.S., but with no surprise, I found one in Hong Kong. One of their leading leather brands, Bauhaus has literally the colors of the rainbow all in its little store. I was visiting during the summer so they had this jacket for 50% off. The only brand I know that is selling more unique leather jackets is Doma. They have one of kind designs that you don't really find anywhere else. Yes, that black jacket is probably the most versatile item in your closet, but if you're looking for a statement piece, try the red one.

Since I'm raving all about the red leather jacket, I thought I'd do a little tribute to the master who made this so iconic, Michael Jackson. Nowadays, we have stylists who create looks for music videos, but back then, costume designers did everything. Deborah Landis, known for her costume work on Raiders of the Lost Ark, was the mastermind behind Jackson's famous jacket.

Did you know that in 2011, the jacket sold for 1.8 million dollars?

Did you guys ever notice how the black strips create a letter "M?"
