Here's my Part 2 of my Summer Fashion Guide. Like the previous post, it's important to remember to invest in quality pieces that you will wear time and time again and to spend as little as possible on trendier items.
When Chanel came out with their version of Espadrilles, the blogosphere exploded with the top bloggers donning a pair and flooding their Instagrams. Once upon a time, this famous footwear were only worn by peasants, but now the fashion world has created the modern luxurious version and can cost more than a computer. Although, I believe this shoe trend is here to stay, I strongly advise you to buy a cheaper pair. After all, they are only made of usually just canvas and rope.
2. Polyester or Rayon Clothing
Don't be fooled by the tag when you see it's made from a well-known designer. Always check the fabric material because sometimes designers will skimp out on quality and instead of using silk, they'll use synthetic fabrics like polyester or rayon. They're not breathable and are inexpensive material. Word of advice: you can buy silk tops for around $100-300. Never pay that much for synthetic fibers.
1. Forever 21 (17.80) 2. Forever 21 (32.80) 3. Robbi Nikki (44.40) 4. Free People (65.00) 5. Vince (242.00)
3. Statement Necklaces
Don't get me wrong. Statement necklaces can make a world of a difference in a plain outfit, but when you're spending thousands, let alone, hundreds of dollars on these pieces, it's not really worth it. You have to ask yourself, "How many times can I actually wear this?" Every year, the style changes. It's better off investing in dainty little pieces that you can wear on the daily. I'm really loving the double pearl necklace from Anthropologie; although, I know Zara was selling a very similar item for half the price. However, it's back ordered and sold out at the moment.
1. Arrogant Cat (41.92) 2. Lanvin (1250.00) 3. Daytime Shine (22.00) 4. Anthropologie (48.00) 6. Forever 21 (11.80)
If we don't pay attention, we end up overspending on items or taking up unnecessary closet space. Spend cautiously and hope you guys have a wonderful weekend.
